Yes this was the headquarters building when I was there in 1965-66
I was in the Navy, attending the PMEL school at Lowry. It was good duty, enjoyed Denver and the surrounding area.

When I attended school in AMMO 1973 we were told that this B-52 was the last plane

This was not Stapleton, it was the first Lowry Field, later Combs Field after Lowry Air Force Base opened. Combs was entirely east of Dahlia Street. It closed in the late 1940s as commercial traffic increased at Denver Municipal Airport, later named Stapleton.
